The Last City

Create in the dark what you couldn't see in the light.

“We are dying from overthinking. We are slowly killing ourselves by thinking about everything. Think. Think. Think. You can never trust the human mind anyway. It’s a death trap.”

– Anthony Hopkins (via bl-ossomed)

Man, woman, guitar, violin, piano. What do you get when you mix a whimsical, carefree people-person with an introspective, angst-ridden, witty, reflective, deeply-spiritual, creative type, then uproot them and plant them in the hills of Hiroshima, Japan? Arguments, squalls, suffering, irritated neighbors, and ultimately a ton of great music. Or as lead singer and guitarist Adam Palmer describes it, “not so bad you can’t finish a song…I mean, I’ve heard worse. At least we have a violin?”

Influenced by everything from John Mayer to Maroon 5 to The Corrs, The Last City is a well orchestrated mix of pop melodies, classical arrangements and second-thought worthy lyrics.
